Just thought I should mention that whatever got Tom eventually also took its toll on Thomas. Probably just old age, he was a bit of a granddaddy and approaching the size of a small cockroach by the time he went.
Talking of which, I took a tray of glasses off the counter last night to put them away and found this little friend waving at me. It was all I could do not to scream and drop the tray on the floor. I am not afraid of bugs and can cuddle a spider with the best of them - but I am afraid of certain bugs touching me. Like cockroaches and daddy long legs with their creepy dirty spindly legs. Urgh.
Now to go back to the grandaddy thing - and I apologise if this is a little disjointed, it has been one of those days, what with the alarm not going off this morning and... anyhow - on Friday the T-Bot will be celebrating his 100th day at school. To mark the occasion the kids are supposed to dress up as a “100 year old person”.
I have to admit to being a little confused about this one. For a start, isn’t it a little ageist? And then, I am really not sure how far to go without straying into bad taste territory. I mean, a walking stick I am guessing would be OK, but what about a walking frame? A wheelchair? An old wooly jumper with stains down the front? Some other cliche? I leave the rest to your imagination.
RIP Thomas
